It’s very confusing to run, and 2 of my club presentations were locked in CAPS and I had to redo the whole presentation to fix it which ticked me off. I wasn’t very happy.

You have got to be kidding me…I pretty much like the new design, and I don’t think it’s as confusing as many claim it is. BUT. I’m facing a few problems and PLEASE STARDOLL STAFF READS THIS.
My suite rooms are smaller than before, which I wouldn’t mind normally, but I can’t get to many of my items that were near the edge of the rooms!
If this is supposed to be that way, it’s extremely inconsiderate…do I have to wipe the whole room to get my items back?! I have rooms PACKED with things (which is to YOUR advantage, may I add, since I BOUGHT them) and I simply wouldn’t stand having to put them all back at once. I have been adding them gradually for a very long time and my eforts shouldn’t be lost like that! Also, for some reason I can’t save dolls to my album. They don’t show up in the “Dolls” section, actually. I have yet to try out the starbazaar, but others have reported several complaints in Underneath Stardoll (here: http://underneathstardoll.blogspot.com/2010/07/new-stardoll-guide-to-not-get-lost.html#comments ). Hopefully all those issues will be fixed soon, otherwise I can see this makeover turning into a disaster for Stardoll’s finances…

The rooms aren’t smaller. You just have to press the arrow at the side to hide all the options and they’re exactly the same.

You just have to click the arrow on the thing that has the Paint Schemes, Storage, and All your rooms. It will show your whole room.

We thought this whole makeover was gonna be elite-ish, yet you give us a kiddy design w/ fairy colors?
And I hate the fact that yesterday the makeover clothes were more expensive, but today you lower the prices. I want my 4 stardollars back from the Forever Young t-shirt.

Unbelievable…I spent 14 stardollars for the dress and a pair of shoes and now I find I practically wasted 5$, because they cost 9$ (together) after the change? I’m getting increasingly pissed off as more things like this crop up.

Many people are complaning about the new stardoll because it is very confusing and I agree. So why can’t we just have the old stardoll back. If people don’t like the new stardoll, members might even quit playing stardoll. There isn’t even a daily covergirl and there is no more covergirl badge.

I’m sorry to say this since you have all worked really hard on the make-over, but, there’s a bunch of people out there who do not like the make-over, and I’m one of them.
We all find it really strange.
1. When someone talks to you on chat it is harder to notice when you are receiving a message.
2. If we have unchecked mail, it’s hard to notice, since, the sign it’s really little, and it doesn’t turn red when we have any notification.
3. I don’t like that new GB.
4. I can only see 3 visits to my page
5. WE CAN’T SEND BROADCASTS! :@
The make-over makes the site look much more neat, but it is confusing and it is WORSE!

I like the make-over! It will take some time to get used to it ofcourse, but most of it looks good to me. I especially like the Starplaza, some stores look different now, like upgraded. Voile and Tingeling look good! Overall all the colours look better to me. (:
The only thing so far that bothers me -big time- is something in the starbazaar. Unfortunatly, if you’re arranging what you want to search for, the price range is ‘hard to control’. Meaning, you can search for stuff between 1 and 39 stardollars but not lower than 39. So for example if you’d like to search for stuff between 10 and 16, this is impossible ’cause it’s not an option. That’s because the buttons won’t move.
And you can’t pick prices precisely because the numbers will skip 2/3 numbers everytime you move the button. So it jumps from 1 to 4 to 6 to 9 etc.. That makes it impossible to search in a particular price range, because you are limited to what the buttons decide for you/skips. If you want low-price search results only, like me, than you got a problem. 😦
Maybe it would be an idea to make the price ‘typeable’? So you can just type in wich price you’d like? Anyway, I’m gonna hate looking for stuff if it stays this way! Please fix this.. ):

I have problem with messages, I cannot just simply reply anymore, I have to search on drop down meny, and it doesnt show up all frieds. Also I cannot see anymore how much I have earned from selling in starbazaar wich is a shame since I earned over 170.000 and I cant keep track of it anymore

I hate it. It’s bad webdesign and totally confusing. My previously 3-page friendslist has now 33 (!!!!) pages. My GB has way over a 2000 pages now and I can’t even use the “shortcut” by typing the page no in the url as it’s in a flash format now and I have to load every single page. Sucks big time.
As a manager of a club I can’t delete (spam) topics anymore…
And the list goes on and on and on.
Stay behind for detention, Stardoll!, or as we say in Germany: Setzen, sechs!

AND what happened with broadcasts? It says they’re disabled. IF that’s true, be sure; I’m quitting stardoll in that case.
And GB is awful. And only 6 BFF….i mean…c’mon is stardoll even seriously with the whole thing?!
And don’t even bother talkin about presentations…mine was looking AWESOME (shadows, background and all aditional special efects) in firefox or chrome, and now it was caps-locked, lo way to change it, and background got stripy! I just deleted the whole crap which their makeover caused and wrote it again, this time simple and plain.
EVERYTHING could be FINE if they’d stick to what they said; that NOTHING won’t be CHANGED or even DELETED. Next time please be honest, because you caused a big confusion to almost 60 millions of people.

some aspects of the makeover are good, but others are plain annoying and confusing. i think it should have been done a bit more gradually, but also i think we need to patient, that maybe some things, like broadcasting, isn’t working yet but will be soon.

The suite rooms are not as wide as they used to be. Now there are things I can’t get to because they’re over the edge of the room. To grab those things, I would have to empty each room into storage. I’ve put a lot of work decorating my suite, and redecorating would take much work and time. Is this something you will fix? Will the suite rooms go back to their former width?

Although it is closed and no one can write in it, people can read my WHOLE guestbook. What’s the point of keeping it closed if everyone’s reading it?!
The suite isn’t great at all. The arrows are not a good way to navigate through the rooms. Like why can’t we just move the cursor left or right and the room goes that way. I miss you old stardoll! 😥

Your rooms are not smaller, they’re the same size. Just close the
menu bar that is on the right side of your screen. You will see a pink/ red arrow. Click that when you want to see the whole room.

okay I like it I honestly dont see any problems. I was a little confused at first but you just have to get used to it. I always see people complaining about the “new thing.” for example when myspace got a new layout and everyone said omg I hate it or Im having so many problems but they got used to it and learned to deal with it. same thing with facebook. but guys, stardoll cant stay the same forever. I really like the new stardoll I think it has a really cool feel too it and it looks less childish. I havent noticed any problems or anything.

i think they should bring old stardoll back or at least let members have a choice on whether they want to use the old or new layout. a lot of people are considering leaving myself included… what was wrong with the old layout anyway? i don’t neccesarily find the new layout confusing, I just find a lot of the old features being changed such as broadcast not going all the way across (which to me buying a broadcast now seems like a waste) you can only see your last 3 visitors were as before you could as least see 10… I could go on and on about all the things I don’t like so I’ll leave it here… Why mess with a good thing??

I must admit, i really like, i really do. Yeah, there’s some points i don’t really like but it’s not going to drive me crazy, yet one thing bothers me the most: how you arrange the function of our suites
That;s pretty much the main reason why I’m still even on Stardoll; to show off my creativity.
And here’s some points I’d like to show:
First off, I can’t even navigate through my suite without needing to find the arrows. And it makes it even harder when you DO put your mouse over the arrow, and it doesn’t show up AT ALL.
And another thing i would like to add is when you put an object not even very near the edge of the suite, it dissapears into your storage. That has happened to me numerous times already, and it’s beginning to get very annoying.
And one most of all, you can’t even save your suite if you’re in a room with more than 100 items in it! Like what the heck? It’s not our fault we want to show off our creativity, and now you limit us to what we save? That’s just plain outrageous, coming to how much we spend on Stardoll.

I feel all alone in my suite. Why is that, you ask? Well lemme tell you: you’ve forgotten the most important part of your website. Which is the contact with your friends and other members.
You’ve taken away our 33 best friends and our “last visited”-list. You’ve hidden the covergirl, album and scenery winners behind a bunch of links. And the broadcast is very small.
How are we gonna find other members?
Don’t you think it’s time to think about what your members want?
Haven’t we payed enough to at least have our opinion heard?

I can’t reach the items that are on the side of my rooms because they are smaller now. This is really annoying! I don’t want to empty my rooms. It took me a lot of time to create them! A LOT!!!
Also, the nevigation is terrible. This is WAY more complicated than before. The guestbook I loved is gone, the new starplazaa is ridiculous, and so is the fact that we can only see our last 3 visitors.
I didn’t even wanted a stardoll makeover at first because I thought the website was fine as it was but now, I really feel punished. I think that we should be able to choose between the old version and the new one.

Well first of all i wanted to say that i like the design, i mean the color gamma, buttons, shop bags, how u change starplaza and etc. (the visual side)
But now its really hard for me the navigation. I guess u shouldnt to redesign everything, i think u should leave some functions on their places where they was just redisign them visualy not change places such as mail, gb, new friend requests.

This is terrible! Presentations are really messed up, and everything is so confusing. Give us something decent for our money. No doubt about it I am never becoming superstar again, or either coming to this site again once my superstar ends. The old Stardoll was clear and easy to see and you took everything away. We thought this Stardoll make-over would be fun but it’s been the exact opposite. Plus if you money lovers want to make more money, 6 best friends? That won’t convince anyone to become ss if you only get 3 more best friends. And please tell me the point of having the ‘last visitors’ page when you only have 3 last visitors?! The worst thing about this new Stardoll (there are many bad things about this Stardoll) is the Guestbook, all I can say is what the heck were you thinking? Not enough reasons for you guys? Okay how about the broadcast? It only goes over hal the page and people play over 1000’s of dollars. Your sucking the money up even more. You guys have messed this site up real bad, and a lot of people are going to be leaving. Please change the site back, this is terrible.

I’m a member since 2007. I’ve never got the idea of leaving this great site. But since this make-over I really feel the need to go.This just isn’t the site as it was before.You only think about your self, about money and that all. I payed to be superstar. You are saying that it is great to be a superstar. and that we’ll can get up to 33 best friends. and now I only have 6(!) Can you just stop doing these weird things. and make it a free choice for the members, to let us choose if we want the old or the new layout? please just listen for one time to your members, because you never do! Well first of all i wanted to say that i like the design, i mean the color gamma, buttons, shop bags, how u change starplaza and etc. (the visual side)
But now its really hard for me the navigation. I guess u shouldnt to redesign everything, i think u should leave some functions on their places where they was just redisign them visualy not change places such as mail, gb, new friend requests.

Well, it’s really confusing and hard for most members to navigate around Stardoll.
I’m getting kind used to it, but it’s giving me headaches.
And my whole presentation is messed up.
And I can’t save my suite anymore.
I think Stardoll should just improve some of these glitches and inconvenient features.

It’s justing going to take awhile to get used to, you guys need to calm down about it. Things change and this change is kind of fun. I like the new Stardoll, just because it makes Stardoll look nicer and the old Stardoll looked kind of trashy and boring. I like the color scheme and the tabs. I’m a little confused but I’m sure we’ll all get used to it.

This new format is horrible! Everything is too complicated. I cannot send messeges to 99 percent of my friend list because only like 1 percent of my friends show up in the messege friend box!

The new guestbook is dreadful, its not even a guestbook anymore!
You can’t see old notifications and I purposely would delete the useless ones to keep the important ones to clubs im active in on the mainpage so I can easily get to specific topics!
THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I have spent so much money on stardoll and have promoted it all over the place. I will be leaving if this continues because this is no longer an online community, but its a gaming site which is NOT what stardoll used to be.

well; i made a quick visit 2 all features; & i think its soo nice; stardoll doesnt hve that sick pink color or yellowish anymore!! the color r lighter & fresher; everything is larger including GBs suite sceneries…ect
i also luv the new smileyz & backgrounds in clubs!
but still there r sme probs like the fact that when selling an interior in my bazaar my friends said it didnt show up; also; i knw that u wanted 2 make everything larger & cool; but it doesnt fit the friends’ list cuze i now hve more than 60 pages; & its so difficult 2 find friends this way! :s

Stardoll, we are ALL VERY UNHAPPY. This makeover was supposed to get us happy but we are not!
The only people that like the makeover are the ones who signed in today and didn’t even get a chance to know the old stardoll!
We loved it! Why change it?!
The customers are unhappy so perhaps you should make a button or something and we could choose between this makeover and the old stardoll layout.
We don’t want to pay for a WEBSITE WE DON’T LIKE! And most of the active members will leave eventually because they’re not happy!
Please do something about it and give us back the old stardoll! Happy customers make a happy and pleasant website! We’re not 5 year old girls and boys that love those colors that make a lot of members headaches and hurt our eyes!

You certainly have to be kidding me. I have a 3 digit IQ that classifies me as a borderline genius so my confusion over this rather disorganized layout is not due to lack of intelligence (or the ratio of unsatisfied : satisfied being 100: 1 ).
I have to agree with Verojun. The new layout was easy and ALL about friends. Friends,here,friends there,HECK FRIENDS EVERYWHERE! We could see our 20 last visitors…Now it’s just three? How can we keep a track of the stats in our suite?
What’s more, the new guestbook is horrible. The guestbook was a known place for hosting parties but now that seems like a virtually impossible thing to do.
Last but, not least, the friends’ list is probably the biggest problem of all. I consider this taking away my superstar membership rights. When I pay for something I want it my way. So, for you that is, I want my 30 best friends’ spots BACK.
PS: What’s the big change? You said the new site was going to be “stardoll and a lot more”. Is the “lot more” part the change of names from “diary” to “blog”. Whoah,stardoll,HOW CREATIVE?

I’m surprised; how fast did my addiction passed away.
Basically, its the same as Netlog (for those who know it); netlog was great and much better than fb, untill they started copying fb. And it didnt took long that they totaly changed their layout; and renamed every single feature. It was even more and more like fb, just that it was overloaded with everything. Thousands of people switched to fb. And how looks netlog now? Only some good people are still there, the rest are noobz. Same will happen with stardoll if they wont do smth. So i hope that someone sees this comment, perhaps staff, and think about what they’ve done. I understand it took them time to repaint and etc., but what they’ve ruined they can never get back.

It’s not that bad… it’ll take awhile to get used to, for sure, but it isn’t terrible.
And they won’t bring the old site back. Do you know hard it is to design site layouts, especially for interactive sites, and code them and everything? It’s alot of hard work! People don’t seem to understand this!
About the rooms in our suites, I’ve heard some complaints about this and it’s pretty annoying that they’re smaller but I’m pretty sure this is an error that will be corrected. Because you can see the doors on the rooms on the right, but the rooms on the left you can’t see the door

I love the new layout and format, but I believe that there should be more best friends, be able to see the broadcasts from our pages, beable to see more recent visitors, more info on our pages should be under our presentations so that they page is not so long, and the broadcast bar should be longer. Also you may want to consider changing the white background on most pages to a light pink, as the white makes the site very formal and makes you feel like you are in a box.
Otherwise, i LOVE the changes!

You promised something that would make it easier for us to navigate around the whole site, and you made just the opposite, I mean, the idea of having only SIX best friends rather than THIRTY-THREE, was very dim idea, whomever thought of it must have been inconsiderate, All I am saying is I need the old stardoll back, a better look, a better way to get things on track, and certainly better than the layout we have now.
If things dont get the way they were or at least we get the same features the old stardoll had, I would definitely consider leaving stardoll, and I am certainly not the only one that would. Just do the right thing, and listen to what we plead you, Just give us the old Stardoll back!

I hope you guys read all the comments and realize how badly you screwed up. So many people are leaving because of this makeover. When I logged on today, I almost screamed. This “makeover” is more childish and I hate it….
So many clubs and petitions have been opened because of this.
Stardoll has been like my second life,my home. I spent almost everyday for 3 YEARS on that site…it turned me on to fashion….I can’t believe you would do this to us.
I appreciate all that you have tried to do for us, but as nice as your intentions were, I hate the new site…I want my old site back.

i don’t understand why stardoll have to COPY the i-dressup website layout. there is a reason why i-dress up is not as popular as stardoll. we bloggers for stardoll rely a lot on the old lay-out if we want to
1. HAVE A PARTY (since most use the guestbook to host it)
2. CHAT with our friends while we are in the middle of redecorating our suite or shopping.
3. NAVIGATE THE WEBSITE QUICKER so we can post WHAT’S NEW in stardoll in our blogs.

This new Stardoll is HORRIBLE! The guest boom sucks, the best friend list sucks and the visitors list sucks!
I’m not complaining about the look, beacause it looks good, but the features are awfull! The only thing that looks good and it’s easier it’s the medoll editor (wich, btw, has another name that I can’t remember right now). Another thing that looks good is the magazin beacause now you are giving equal importance to catwalk winner, cover girls and so on.
But you HAVE TO CHANGE THE GUEST BOOK!! It’s the WORST change of them all!! And we should be able to see MORE people that visited us recently. And brodcast? How crappy is that? That will make it so much hard to do a campaign to run for Cover Girl or to advertise our sale. The suite looks a little bad aswell. The view we get to see all the rooms from our suite it’s really tiny, and that side bar, we always have to hide it so we can see everything. The only good thing about that change is that we can see how many items do we have on that room.
As you can see, I’m not here to just trash talk about the new change. I pointed out to good things and the bad thing. And I think We should get some features back to how it was beacause (now I’m going to talk about my case) I pay to play this game and, bealive me when I say this, I WILL stop paying for something that I don’t like, and I bet that there are lots of girls that think the same way. So you better do something about that beacause you have to admite, some thing are really bad.
Oh yeah, I just rememberd one last thing! I want to put my doll on the side bar of my blog. Where the hack did that link go?

It’s hard to read and navigate. Everything is just messed up!! I don’t think there is any improvement. Maybe the broadcast letters, but the broadcast it selfs is way to small, I can’t even read it whitout getting a headeche.
The guestbook is redicilous, and the chat, on top of the page?
The starbazaar is messed up too!!
To make a long story short, I hate it ALL!

I HATE the new stardoll layout, it’s extremely confusing. I hate my suite page, you cannot see all 33 bestfriends and you can onl see the 3 recent visitors. I really liked the Quickfacts being above the presentation but now it’s at the bottom. We pay for stardoll with real money so we should have a choice and be able to decide what we want. I hate the way the notifications have been set out. Overall , stardoll has completed destroyd it.

Its confusing, i want to reccomend having a drop-down list that allows ALL the stardoll members to choose between the new one, or the old one. Other than that i expected the site to be BIGGER. Now i have to zoom in to do my medoll, and she the makeup, etc.

I must admit, the old Stardoll was so much better. I hate the new notifications; you hardly ever know if one is new or old. The guestboook needs it’s own page, it is very annoying. And only 6 bestfriends? One of the things us superstars pay for on Stardoll is to have 33 best friends and then you take it away. And friends list are much to short, before I had one page now I have 6.
I pay real money to use this website, now I can hardly stand to be on it.
I know it must cost a lot of money to get graphic designers or whatever, but how about when we log in we get the option to use either use the new or old Stardoll? This makes you happy, those who like the new Stardoll happy and those who prefer the old ones.
If no changes get made; you will losing this paying member and many others I’m sure.

STARDOLL STAFF PLEASE READ THIS:
There are a few problems with the makeover. My complain is that my shoes, bags and accesories wardrobe is not working well! I can’t see all of my accesories, I can’t scrol on the other floor and when I could, there was on every floor a big space. When I scrolled down in my wardrobe and then came back at the top there wasn’t that space any more then the space came again!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let us have the option of having new stardoll and old stardoll. I dont think I can get used to this EVER. It is WAY over the top. At first I liked it…but now, I DONT. I know you all worked very hard, and I appreciate it so much, but this just isnt stardoll anymore. Maybe there can be a little button that says “older version”…for the people who like the older version better. Thats what my email account does. But like I was saying, I think you need to tone it down a little, there is WAY too much going on. Not one single thing is the same, you cant change EVERYTHING like that. People will start to leave. I think most of us agree that we strongly, strongly, STRONGLY dislike the new Stardoll. Here are some reasons why:
1. Starbazaar Price Range: UNchangeable. That’s ridiculous.
2. Most of us just don’t like the look. I ESPECIALLY HATE the new layout. Everything is mashed onto one screen. It’s not neat, organized, or more convenient. It messy and hard to find. In order to make more room for other things to smush onto the screen, you shortened the best friends list, last visitors list, etc.
3. I could get a migraine from all the pale colors. Instead of having it’s old charm and unique way of being, Stardoll has turned into another silly little girl’s doll dressup game. It’s so unnecessary.
4. As someone said before, WE FEEL TRAPPED. To me, everything is so close together and made shorter that it’s like being trapped in a prison Stardoll cell.
5. Our page. There’s no neat little list of blog entries, latest visitors, 33 best friends (which has been unacceptably reduced to six. SIX!!!), sceneries, or album. The Guestbook has been mashed onto the side, is very inconvenient, and looks like you guys remembered it existed at the last minute and tacked it on the end. What’s so bad about having a separate page for everything?! That was way simpler and easier.
6. “Community”. Imagine, our friend list (which can consist of hundreds of people), clubs, parties, fashion design, and find friends all on one page. Many words could be used to describe this. Confusing. Hard. Inconvenient. Irritating. The possibilities are endless. I hate the new clubs page too. Why can’t we just have a list of clubs we own, popular clubs, active clubs, and clubs we’re a member of all in neat little lists? The new layout is confusing and difficult to use.
7. Our medoll profiles. Remember that nicer Stardoll time when we had our [LARGE] profiles on the left hand side, with easily noticed notifications and a convenient way to get to everything (such as our album, blog, scenery, guestbook, medoll editor, account settings, etc.)? Now it has been reduced to a tiny slab of profile stuffed onto the upper righthand corner, and the biggest button on it, might I add, is the button advertising you to buy more money.
8. Clubs. I just (I actually think we all did) prefer the old topic pages, emoticons, and top spot topics. I find it annoying, and I now hate to do what used to be my favorite thing on Stardoll. Visit clubs.
9. Not only has the whole site been renewed, many of our presentations were changed to ALL CAPS. This ruined, RUINED most of our hard worked-on presentations, which we’d spent up to hours perfecting. Thanks a ton.
10. You say we’ll get used to it. What if we don’t want to get used to it? We may learn to cope with it, yes. But notice that now instead of enjoying being on the website, we ARE coping with it. Bad sign. Many of us have had enough, and are quitting Stardoll.
So there you have ten well thought-out reasons why the old Stardoll needs to return. I think I speak for thousands of millions of members when I say that. Is having this makeover making anyone happy? Sure, some people think it looks pretty. But will looks make up for lost good times on the site? Will looks change the difficulty it takes to use the site? No. We may learn to get used to it, but by doing that we are coping with it. Not enjoying it. No matter how used to it we are, it will never be the same unless you change it.
Bring back the old STARDOLL!

Ok I have to admit it was good that you change the layout and things but we don’t like it! It is too complicated. And the clubs omg I oculdn’t understand anything. And the club I am a manager of used the frames. When the frame was green people could post, when it was red they couldn’t. Now they are gone. Can you imagine the mess.
Now if someone would hear me, but most likely not. I have a solution. I now many sites where they do a makeover. Then to satisfy all the people they put a button somwhere and then the skin changes and becomes the old one. So one would have an option.
We apreciate what you have done stardoll but please, listen to this solution.

I, to be quite honest, don’t like the new makeover as much as I thought that I would. Why, on the notifications, does it only show the first page of messages? Please tell me how I am supposed to find all of the other new messages, because I am utterly confused. I also don’t like the broadcast now – it used to be one of the highlights of Stardoll, but now it is a tiny little thing near the top of the page. change it back, please Stardoll!

Maybe.. You could keep some of the features but make them better like the new covergirl design, that’s great but make it big and bold on the spotlight page so that everyone can see! Also the chat’s layout, I kind of like that, but the magazine itself, please change back, you don’t have to erase everything just keep the ones we like and the ones we don’t, and make sure you do change the guestbook!

I kind of like the suite rooms though, they do look bigger and it helps me actually in a way.
But that’s me and to be honest that’s the only thing I like about it, but I think I was judging it too harshly, I think I’ll get used to it and besides the site is still getting updated. Only thing I hate is that the covergirl isn’t on the spotlight page.

I never heard anyone asking for a new makeover (like they say).
Getting new layouts, it’s part of sites business, but new makoever doesn’t mean less options. Am I wrong? They would NOT bring the old layout back, but at least, you can fix the GB, the friends list (I remember being SS with the option of having 33 Best Friends, but now they’re gone).

Fame; how can we get fame when no-one visits us because we can’t be seen on their recently visited? The only way is the broadcast and I hardly ever look at it because I have a notebook computer and the screen is to small to see it!
And we spend 5 stardollars for that, it is tiny! Do you want all your users to become long sighted? Because I am already short-sighted and I don’t want my parents spending more money on glasses.
Fashion; So you’re saying that fashion is being super skinny and having a big chest (as Hunnigall says)? Well it’s not, seriously, girls as young as 7 play this website.
Friends; How can I make new friends when I can only see three of sweet people who visit me? How can I chat to people in guestbooks when I don’t get notifications? You hardly see anyone, and you feel so isolated because you only see 6 people’s best friends and only 3 recently visited.
I hope someone reads this, I know you make millions of dollars a year, but that could all stop because of one silly makeover no-one asked for. Stardoll had an iconic look, I could spot it from a mile away. At least give us an option to use the old one.

I am furious. Is this the way you wont to attract “new members” who probablly won’t even buy SS membership? What about turning away your most loyal members who buy SS endlessly? (also stardollars and what not). Then why not listen to our opinion? Negitives:
1.I feel sooo confused!
2.Where the heck is the covergirl front page? nowhere! wasting about 10000 sd for a trophy..pfftt..please!

Sometimes, we HAVE to know if some person visited us- sometimes it’s for a poll in a blog, or for some other reason. Now we CAN’T POSSIBLY know it, because of this new system. + the visitor thing is in such a bad place- under EVERYTHING.

Yup. You got it right, we can only see the 3 latest guestbook comments that we’ve had. And that’s a serious problem when you’re a bit more popular and you get more of those little comments. Because finding older ones is hard.
I could keep going on and on, but that would take A LOT of time. I better waste that time looking for older guestbook comments.

About the makeover.
Personally I really like the colors and the fact that it’s soft on the eyes, even though it reminds of i-dressup.com (for examples the diamonds…honestly, you could have avoided them).
It’s been a bit confusing at the beginning, even though now I’m getting used to it. That said I’m really disappointed with the whole staff for how they handled the problem of my suite mainly because had it happened to a younger girl she would have probably spent real money to buy the membership even though those rooms should have be open even when the account is non-superstar.
I still have the same bugs I’ve been experienced in the previous years: even though I get notifications about new messages coming, they not always show up so it turns out that I might read them DAYS after they were originally sent (that includes stardoll offers, as well).
I think you should let see more than the last 3 visitors and personally I believe you should make bigger the broadcast messages. Granted, they look cute however it’s also true that they’re barely readable. Honestly, I don’t use it but I can understand why people complain about them.
Clubs => when you open the page of the club, you DON’T see the last discussed topics and – in my opinion – that’s bad. It’s better to let see the most recent topics because they are discussed and could attract more people and more activity to the club.
Personally I don’t really like the background image of starplaza, it’s too light and if you watch it too long, it tends to hurt the eyes. I had adjust my screen because it was really too bright.
Covergirl – I think a picture of the daily CG should appear in the homepage, you know like it used to be before.
Other than that….nothing. Oh yes…I would be really greatful if you remove those chessy songs in the superstar presentations!! They’re horrible and if you have the volume on it’s really annoying to hear them starting when you last expect them. I’ve to surf stardoll with the volume off. And members please, avoid them! they’re NOT cool!!
Wouldn’t hurt to lower the prices in starplaza either.

I like the new layout alot! But I HATE the fact that we do not have the same options as the old stardoll, it was alot easier to navigate before and now it is just annoying, I don’t even notice people writing broadcasts now as the slot that what they are saying is so tiny! I am not saying I dislike the newlook, I just dislike alot of the new features. I write to someone in their guestbook, and I don’t even know if they replied! I HATE THAT! I also hate that in the Mail section, the notifications are not in bold writing! I do not know which notifications are from yesterday and which are from today, please just add the old features back, they were better, also, sometimes you want to trade rares, I give a girl a dress, I get a jacket back. Well, now if I sell it, it’s a bit hard for her to try to find my new dress, but that feature isn’t as bad as others.
I would hope that you change it back for the sake of the stardoll members as many are very upset, protesting and some even thinking of leaving as they hate is so much.

I like the change from “Medoll Creator” to “Beauty Parlour” and the Design and Sell area.
I dislike the Guestbook, just seems that Stardoll just want to nudge it to the side, to really communicate with other people you would have to use Mail.
I like how the Chat doesn’t have that annoying flash any more but I would much prefer an on/off button for because sometimes I just want a little privacy!
You said it was going to be a big makeover, I don’t see many changes, just a different colour scheme and layout.

Dear all Stardoll members,
we received your comments and would like to apologise for a few errors. The site is of course still getting updated so if anything appears to be in the wrong then we shall soon fix that, we cannot change the whole site back because it’s gone now that the new has replaced it. Please understand it would take many months to get everything the way it was. The navigation system will soon be changed as so it can be quicker and much more user friendly, any other mistakes will be dealt with.

For me, Stardoll was more than a simple online game, more than a social utility …it was something really great & creative – But this was before you “the Stardoll Staff” killed “our creativity.
Your strategy wasn’t good, you failed from my point of view.

I just hate the new stardoll makeover!!!!!!! Its horrible!!!! I d rather be no superstar because i just became a superstar for 14 months. I used to love stardoll like more than anything else. I used to be able to see what friends were online at a glance on the left…now I have to find a box and scroll through it. I used to be able to see everyone who visited me at a glance – now I can only see guestbook entries and only 3 to 5 of them. The white background color is hard on my eyes and makes the suite look fake.
I like the look of new suite window and I like the plaza but everything else is harder to use and I hate it.None of my art shows up in my bazaar and chat and broadcast are terrible…every single person I have talked to, young or old hates the new stardoll.

For many Stardoll users, the essence of Stardoll disappeared along with the appearance of this new look – a new Stardoll.

#1 – Why doesn’t the CG appears in the front page and why have I to go into milion places to find it?
#2 – Why can’t I see atleast 20 last viewers of my meDoll? C’mon, only 3? It doesn’t show how many popular how medoll is at the moment!
#3 – Why the F is my GB so small? I need to go through 100 pages to see a reply that I wrote last week!
#4 – Why is the Superstar number of BFF reduced by 27 dolls??
#5 – Presentations are all messed up.
#6 – We can’t delete Notifications from our inbox#7 – We can’t create a new topic in a club just by going to the front page, we need to go to the Topics section. Waste of time.
#8 – The ‘Popular’ section at Starplazza is full only with SS items. What? That’s so not possible, everyone knows!
#9 – We need to be looking at a doll’s image for some minutes to see if she’s superstar or not.
#10 – Broadcast section is too small and doesn’t catch our attention. If it’s gonna stay like this it should lower the price..

The new stardoll has really suprized me. I find it alot harder to navige around the site now it has changed. I also think this site is to light. You need to put in some nice colours in, like purple, green or blue! And I agree with the post before me that there is soooooo much white it’s almost like staring at a light!

Im sorry, but I dont like the new layout. I cant save my medoll in a room with a 100 items or more. I always now have to save in a different room with less. And the broadcast is too small. You should also add black or blue or any color with pink on background. I agree with medoll5555- you just made another I-dressup. The layout on the new Stardoll is confusing me and others. I, personally have lost interest in stardoll now. the items have become too expensive and the fun that it used to be has disappeared. It has become so expensive that it is no longer a fun little hobby; more like your life. I have spent hundreds on stardoll. I am leaving now. Not for good yet but I have let my superstar membership run out. Look out for my account on eBay. I have loads of rares and a near full hotbuys collection. Good luck my stardoll amigos!

I’m not buying Superstar or Stardollars until you bring the old stardoll back. I might leave actually. Along with half of Stardoll.

While I really commend SD staff on working so hard to make a new layout and what they believe to be a more user-friendly Stardoll.com, I really hope the staff also listens to our concerns. There are quite a few glitches that I was hoping would be addressed in the new makeover but were not. I am a new member, but I have quickly become addicted to StarDoll and have fallen for the excellent advertising and bought a 3-month membership through the Summer sale. I’ve even replenished my star dollars so that I could further enjoy the StarDoll experience. However, with the complexity of this new layout and all the glitches that come with it, I’m really re-considering my membership and even so far as regretting it.
Some of the issues that I had hoped would be addressed but were not are:
1) In the new Beauty Parlor, I had hoped that there would be a zoom feature on your avatar’s face to make cosmetic applications easier.
2) In the dressing room, I believe there should be an easier way to sort through the clothes. Such as, the clothing should automatically attach to the hangars in the background so that I don’t have to move bigger dresses around and obscure other parts of my body just to try on other clothes.
3) The frequent clothing glitches in scenery. In real life, I’m a big-breasted woman. So I gave my avatar big breasts. However, it seems that every time I save a scenery, the clothes SHIFT somehow. It ruins the ENTIRE piece, and it’s EXTREMELY frustrating.
4) More on scenery: there doesn’t seem to be any way to edit previous scenery, or if there is, it’s quite difficult to find. I understand not allowing contest scenery entries to be editable and such, but other scenery that we make through our own pages and not through clubs and contests should be editable. It’s frustrating when you work so hard on a scenery only to realize you’ve made a mistake and can’t edit it. In all honesty, it makes me want to NOT make scenery anymore.
5) I understand that certain clothing looks good on certain body-types. However, pretty much ALL the clothing on StarDoll is geared toward small-breasted and small-waisted women. I understand that this is the norm for models. However, the majority of StarDoll members and paying customers are not models. You advertise StarDoll as a place where one can express one’s personal style. If we choose to express our personal style on body types that are not small/small, then the clothing we use should also automatically fit said body types. If it’s anything otherwise, then there is no point to making chest and waist size variable, and StarDoll should just remove that option. If they would like to keep it there (which I, and many others, would prefer), then the clothing should automatically be a one-fits-all deal because it’s the virtual world and such a thing is possible.
6) #5 also contributes to the clothing shifts and glitches in scenery. Again, it’s extremely annoying.
7) The search engines in the StarPlaza are incomplete in the sense that there is no search feature that sorts pricing and non-ss/ss-only merchandise. As an online shopper, I like to filter my searches through pricing, and I had hoped that StarPlaza would have that kind of filtering in their search engines as well. A simple “Price Low to High” or “Price High to Low” would suffice. It would make shopping SO much easier!
8) You seem to have missed “belts” in your search engines for StarPlaza and StarBazaar. Virtually everything else is covered EXCEPT belts and scarves and other accessories. I believe an “accessories” search option is in order.
9) Would it be possible to make bras (besides the ones that are sold in the StarDoll shop of StarPlaza), underwear, or just a separate lingerie shop? It’s very annoying when I can’t wear certain bathing suits or very low-cut clothing because my bra shows through. Also, the bras in the StarDoll shop only fit small-chested women. It kind of defeats the purpose of purchasing the bra, which I did.
10) Some of the clothing prices are outlandish and unreasonable. There are some extremely good deals, but others are just grossly over-priced. This refers mostly to the SS-only merchandise. Yes, technically, we can afford it, but some of the prices just make me cringe and want to turn the other way. I understand limited items and designer tribute items, but many of the other “normal” items are “……….”
10b) Speaking of unreasonable prices…LUXE make-up. Beautiful, but CRINGE. I could only bring myself to buy one, and I avoid touching that boutique ever when I shop.
11) I think it sucks that members and non-members can only Play and Earn 14 weeks out of a month. Would it be so bad to up $SD 70 to $SD 100?
12) Are we ever going to be able to give our friends gifts such as clothing, accessories, and shoes?
13) Are we ever going to be able to sell accessories and make-up in StarBazaar?
These were just a few issues that I have seen brought up across various blogs and clubs. I had really hoped that they would be addressed during the make-over, but they weren’t. So I would like to add these to the above list of complaints over complexity issues and new glitches the makeover brought up.
I think StarDoll is a WONDERFUL site that appeals to both the target audience of young girls as well as older ladies who enjoy fashion and exploring personal style. However, I also think that StarDoll is heading down a path that is not only un-user-friendly, but is also unfair to its paying customers and to the non-susperstars that they are trying to entice to pay for membership. I really hope that StarDoll reads and listens to its users concerns, especially to the concerns of paying members, long-time members, and those who took time to voice their concerns. While Stardoll is indeed a business, its members are its foundation, and our voices should be heard.

i’m seriously considering leaving stardoll and search for another game.
the starbazaar is a real mess, you cannot see properly the items, if you are in someone’s bazaar you cannot go directly to starbazaar, as before, you need to go to shop menu and from there to open starbazaar.
for all new stuff the prices are very high, they do not specify the time for special offers, shops come and go just like that (see Shrek), any seach option works like hell.
not to mention the look of the suite page, all these colours, and the way menu is positioned (cannot see chat, messages and so)
ALL THIS NEW STARDOLL IS A MESS!

Stardoll, you have to LISTEN to your customers to earn money. You aren’t LISTENING. None of us are finding the makeover to be a benefit. The only reasons I’ve been on stardoll recently is to check my messages, and I’ve noticed ALOT less of them anyway, because nobody else is bothering to even contemplate logging on.
Honestly, the customer is ALWAYS right. We ARE right, we ask not as an inconvenience, but as a DEMAND. We do NOT want to play on Stardoll.com. We want to play on the website we have known and loved for years; I just don’t think we can call it Stardoll anymore. Please, listen to us, or you’ll be noticing a significant loss in sales, trafficing and customer participation.

I’m being realistic, Stardoll won’t change it back to the old Stardoll. The Stardoll staff has been working for probably months on this new makeovers, so people could give them a little credit, the site could be a lot worse . .
But what stardoll can do is improve the new Stardoll when you give them feedback on the campaign page. It’s highly likely that they won’t change it, because they would of wasted all their time and our money on making the new stardoll but they can make improvements once they read all the feedback. I actually don’t think it’s that bad and some people should grow up, if you really hate it that much then leave or stop paying for superstar. It takes a while to get used to but it isn’t rocket science on how to find everything like everyone is claiming. We just all need to get used to it

It’s so confusing… U guys should ask us first what we like to see.
Everything is so wrong:
– The Chat doesn’t work
– Only 6 BF… Like seriously?
– Everybody can read our Guestbook! No privacy?
– The Broadcast is so small.
– The new color is sooo, yuk. Light purple? Come on!
– Now, if we wanna reply a message, u gotta find the name in your friend list; and sometimes the name is not even there!
– Everything has a different name, so is soo confusing.
– The rooms are smaller
– Everithing is like, idk… Hidden?
– I could keep saying a lot of wrong things u done! There are like 100!

I basicly hate all whit the new stardoll but here is some:
1. Broadcast is way to small.
2. The guestbook looks horrible and is on a bad place.
3. The starbazaar is hard to find.
4. only 6 bffs!!
5. only 3 last visitors!! redicilous!!
7. The colours, so cold and boring.
8. Very bad notifications on messages and sales and stuff.
9. The covergirl is hard to find and the trophee is ugly.

Well, I’m seriously considering leaving stardoll. I’ve been thinking about it for a while but now, it’s just… I thought make-over meant something BETTER, EASIER to use and overall prettier. I’m sorry, but this is just a disaster, and there is a LOT of complaints from other members.

I don’t think any1 will bother to read it all. I HATE THE NEW STARDOLL. Stardoll staff better read this! I borrowed some of Kelly’s points.
1. The icons is gone.
2. Text is HARD to read!
3. The colors are cold and boring!
4. Broadcast and broadcast messages are way too small!
5. Just 6 best friends, before 33?!?!
6. Only 3 last visitors is just super lamelamelame!
7. It’s hard to navigate arround the site.
8. The chat is in a bad place, can’t do anything else while chat.
9. The starbazaar is messy and harder to find.
10. The log out button is so small it took me 2 days to find it.
11. The notification system is reddicilous!
12. The guestbook is terrible, so so ugly and everyone can read!

Let me tell you a story, Stardoll. I was only 12 when I found out about Paperdoll Heaven. I loved the website because of the idea of dressing up celebrities. I stopped playing. Only because at the time, it wasn’t too addicting to me and it wasn’t the official Stardoll yet. 2 years later, at 14, I decided to play again after I discovered a store close by me sold Stardoll cards. 3 years later, 17 now, I’m still playing Stardoll. As you can see, I’ve been a prominent member of the Stardoll for 5 years. With this makeover, I feel that Stardoll is no longer fun. Once a website that aimed for fashion, fun, and friends, now is aimed for money, money, money, and more money! Prices in the StarPlaza have skyrocketed. The best friends list down to 6? As promised in the Superstar package, I’m supposed to have 33 best friends. The visitors list literally makes me feel alone. It was even part of the Superstar deal. What happened Stardoll? These promises aren’t fulfilled. You broke them. This website is an abomination. It’s not Stardoll. Oh, no. It’s i-Dressup 2.0. My Superstar membership ends in 5 days. And you know what? I don’t think I’m going to bother getting Superstar membership until your website fulfills the promises. I want the 20 visitors list back; I want the 33 best friends back. This is not what I paid for.
You fail, Stardoll.

Your overreacting as Lelly rightly said you just need to get used to it, no miracle is going to happen and their not going to change it now. I myself have been judging it badly and yes it could be worse but I find it easier when I do my album, sceneries and design. I finally did things on Stardoll I could never be bothered to do because it took too long, check my album out and see for yourself I finally got to do all the things I never did before! Whilst all of you have been complaining here have you actually tried it out? And besides the broadcasts are going to be changed so is everything that needs to be dealt with. It’s only the third day of the new makeover and things may not be perfect but give them a chance and if your really so bothered then leave, actually all of you are threatening to leave however your still here complaining.. face it your all so addicted you wouldn’t have the guts to leave or even better delete your accounts.

No offence but I’ve been on stardoll for 5 years which was way back when it was called paperdoll heaven. I didn’t mind the 1st little change they made when they changed the start page and stuff but right now I just really dislike this huge makeover. I don’t want to leave because why should I? You Stardoll said that you can’t change it back because it would take you months to do that as the old site is gone. Helloooo??? Do you really think that we are so stupid to believe that you have deleted the old site? It would just take you one day to put the old site back but you don’t want to as the new members that never knew the old site will not find the new version confusing. But we -the old members- don’t like that new Stardoll, and we really want the old one back! The old version was much much much better than this one. No it wouldn’t, you do understand that a lot of coding ( I don’t know what it’s called) is used. Like if we click on my suite the programme that controls stardoll, takes you to another link. It would takes weeks or even months to change it back and all the new scripts and software need to be updated. You actually think it would take a day to get it back to normal? Having a site like Stardoll isn’t like a Word Document, where you can just delete and restore back! So with that in mind, Stardoll probably won’t change it back, it would of been a waste of their time and our money. People have to face the facts and just get used to the new Stardoll . . .

I have spent hundreds of dollars on
your site, hundreds of hours and have
enjoyed all of it. But this makeover,
i must say, its changed everything. The
layout is far too confusing, the colors are
bland, and it seems like youre trying too hard to
be like i-dressup and facebook. Im considering leaving
your site. If i wanted facebook, id be there. Please,
give us stardoll back. Otherwise, you will be losing
alot of members.

You should make Stardoll easier for iDevices and Mobile Phones. It’s even trickier with the new makeover for us(iDevices etc) to navigate around stardoll. And with the new chat, it won’t even let me send! Could you possibly make a mobile site to make it easier?

Today, I went too tthe beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave
itto my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab ijside and it pinched her ear.
